Main research areas: Antibodies in celiac disease, development of new diagnostic tools. Development of a near-patient rapid antibody test from whole blood for commercial use in 2002 (Patent Application PCT/FI02/00340)
 
Organization of the first two screening programmes for celiac disease in the Hungarian general population (1995, 2005)
 
Participation in several international multi-centre clinical and basic studies concerning celiac disease, including 6th Eu Framework programme STREP project PREVENTCD and Marie Curie Actions TRACKS for transglutaminase research.
