Dennis Scolnik

Dr. Scolnik is a Consulting Physician in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada. He grew up in Zimbabwe where he completed medical school. He spent four years in Paediatrics in the United Kingdom, followed by five years in Israel. This was followed by a one year fellowship in Paediatric Nephrology and two years in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at the hospital where he now works. He is an Associate Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto and has a special interest in Global Health. He has participated in medical missions to Guyana and has taught in China and Ethiopia. He is the Director of the Clinical Fellowship Programme in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, and was recently Vice-Chair of the Research Ethics Board at his hospital.
